Care and consultation

We edit Fiction, Non-Fiction, Academic, Business, and Web Content material, as well as Periodicals. We accept MS Word document files, as well as InDesign and Quark for periodicals.

Your work will be cared for by the best editor available. Your editor will communicate with you personally and answer any questions about the editing of your work that you may care to ask.

We provide free estimates on request. After you fill in and submit the quick QUOTE FORM, we will quote you a price by e-mail. You will be invited to submit your payment.

WHAT YOU GET: You will receive an edited (marked) copy of your work showing corrections, comments, and queries. You will also receive a clean final corrected version. Unresolved queries will be highlighted. Depending on the level of editing agreed upon, you will also receive comments, suggestions, or other input.

PRICING: Only after we have seen your complete document can we give you a price. Please be aware that no matter how little needs fixing, the whole text needs to be read carefully at least once, which takes time. The actual correction of the text takes more time, depending on how much needs to be done.

Level 1 Editing: Proof-reading.

Level 2 Editing: Elimination of misuse of words, awkward sentence structure, repetition, redundancy, obscurity, mixed metaphors, clichés, or any number of things that may get in the way of the reader's understanding and satisfaction, or hamper the flow of the argument or the story. This level includes proof-reading but, as you see, it embraces much more.

Level 3 Editing: Structural editing, to fix major flaws or inconsistencies in longer texts.
